Learn how transgender and nonbinary youth are thriving and hear their collective stories in their own words.

A Kids Book About Being Transgender
People often ask, what does it mean to be transgender? The truth is there isn't one answer. Gender is uniquely beautiful, and each person's experience is individual to them. But at its core, it’s all about knowing who you are and having the courage, freedom, and support to live life being your truest self.

Gia Parr is a high school senior and high-honors student of color. She is an influencer and advocate intent on using her voice to progress the rights of all communities. Gia helped launch GenderCool, a positive storytelling campaign turned global movement led by more than a dozen Champions. These young leaders are evolving understanding by showing the world who they are.

A Kids Book About Being Inclusive
Being inclusive is a choice we can make every day! Being inclusive means reaching out to and welcoming all people and everything that makes them who they are. When we learn to see the beauty in our differences, we can embrace the rich, diverse, and amazing world we live in together!

Ashton Mota is an Afro-Latino high school sophomore and powerful advocate for change, driven to achieve justice, equity, and equality for all. Rebekah Bruesehoff is a 14-year-old influencer and activist passionate about inclusion and authenticity. Their voices help fuel GenderCool, a positive storytelling campaign turned global movement led by more than a dozen Champions. These young leaders are evolving understanding by showing the world who they are.

A Kids Book About Being Non-binary
What does being non-binary mean? For some people, the question and its answer may be new or a little confusing. It’s okay to not know what it means! That’s where all good conversations start. The journey to understanding starts with an open mind and an open heart.

Hunter Chinn-Raicht is an aerial acrobat, animal shelter volunteer, identifies as non-binary, and can’t open envelopes without completely tearing them apart. They hope for the day when all genders are celebrated, which is what brought them to GenderCool, a positive storytelling campaign turned global movement led by more than a dozen Champions. These young leaders are evolving understanding by showing the world who they are.

I understand you want library quality books. Has any thought been given to publishing a less expensive version of this series that paents might buy for their kids at home?

All of these books

I loved the writing. Great simple messaging for kids. In my experience and a few teachers I showed these books to - to hold a kids attention - you need pictures. If these books are targeting kids below 5th grade, they need pictures. Thanks again for publishing them!

On Being and In Solidarity and Support

The GenderCool series packs an impressive punch. Each Champion brings their honest, sincere, and unfaltering voice to readers in a way that invites us in, envelopes our questions, and welcomes us to walk forward together. Plus, there is some really clever, impactful design going on in these books. The way Gia's story and her recount of isolation is depicted hand-in-hand through words and design left a distinct and memorable impression on me. Beautiful and needed titles.
