Self-love isn’t talked about very much, but this book seeks to open up a conversation about how important it is to love yourself.

What do you see when you look in the mirror? Often we notice the things that make us feel different or we don’t like. But self-love can help us see what makes us uniquely awesome! This book teaches kids how to choose their thoughts, manage their perspectives, and feel comfortable and happy with themselves, even when hard things happen.

Brandon Farbstein (he/him) is a Gen Z world changer, motivational speaker, and author who was born with a rare form of dwarfism. Brandon’s “Ten Feet Tall” mindset and limitless impact has been felt by millions as he amplifies his global message to #ElevateEmpathy®.

This book is great! Wish I would have had this when I was a kid!

Lovely conversation starter!

This book was pair's well with some of the other titles we've gotten such as: A Kid's Book About Diversity, A Kid's Book About Being Transgender, and A Kid's Book About Inclusion. If you have kiddos who are struggling with negative self-talk, bullying, body image issues, the message of this book can support important conversations about self-esteem/image. Even if you don't think your child is experiencing challenges in this area (most of the do at some point) this is a good pick to reinforce positive messages you want your kids to carry with them into the world.

Great book

I bought this book for my two nieces, ages 7 & 9. From the very first sentence I read to them a beautiful conversation began. This conversation continued with each page to follow. I wasn’t expecting this, but they each had so much to share. It’s been a few weeks now since we read the book together. I saw them today and my older niece said the book is her favorite book and she will often take it to the porch to read it again. The book has a great message that children and adults alike need to hear. I highly recommend this book and feel it should be in every school and public library.
